Maltese dog, as described by a Greek philosophy, Theophrastus was one of the breeds "Melita", a name previously used for Malta (within the Mediterranean area title).
These dogs have been developed in Italy with a mixture of spaniel and blood-Miniature poodle. This keen little dog who first thought was brought to England by the Crusaders (the troopers who took part within the fighting within the Crusades) from the Mediterranean.
This species turned famous, especially among girls, who used to hold them and even sleeping with them.
